Bettine Margalit Amir (as well Bettina ) - poet  and painter.

Married since 1969 to Aharon Amir – Poet- Author- Translator-Editor who was awarded the Israel Prize  In 2003.  Passed away in 2008.

 

Bettine was Born in Beirut-Lebanon and came to Israel in 1950

She started writing poetry in 1957. Her first poems were published in the literary quarterly" Keshet", in 1959.

In 1960-1963 Graduated French Literature and Philosophy in Bar Ilan University, Ramat Gan

 

In 1963-1964 practiced art in Tel Aviv Academy of Painting & Sculpture directed by Prof. Margoushilski.

1963 Published her first book of poems, "Choc et Equilibre" in Paris.

2006 Published a 2nd Book of Poems in Hebrew "כל אשר לי"- "'Everything I Have".

Worked with the French painter Frederic Delanglade in Paris in 1964.

In 1966 awarded Diplome d'Honneur from Grande International Biennale of Vichy

and listed in the prestigious "Catalogue  Bolaffi d'Art Moderne".

 

1969-1970 participated in Touvia Beeri print Workshop, TLV Artist's Association

 

1970 "Terre Latine" exhibition in the Musee d'Art Moderne de Paris
